Here at Alchem (Merseyside) Ltd’s Ellesmere Port depot, we have all the necessary equipment on hand to make our customer experience quick and efficient, and to ensure that we recycle your waste effectively and economically.
- 40 TON WEIGH BRIDGE: Our 40 ton weigh bridge allows contractors to deliver waste, segregated or unsegregated, directly to our depot. Vehicles park on the weigh bridge on arrival, and after processing by our staff, are directed to the tipping area for their waste. The lorry is then weighed again on departure to confirm the weight of waste that has been deposited. Contractors who deliver segregated waste enjoy a generous discount rate to reflect the work they have done prior to delivery to us.
- TROMMEL AND PICKING STATION:
Your unsegregated waste materials are first passed through a rotating drum to separate the fines. The waste then passes under a powerful magnet to remove metals for recycling. The remaining waste moves onto the picking belt, where our waste operatives separate the remaining waste by hand into the relevant bays, enabling them to take out even the smallest pieces of recyclable materials, moving us ever closer to our 100% recycling target.
